  • β€’Optional: demonstration clock with movable hands

Directions

  1. 1.Review the hour hand and minute hand before beginning.
  2. 2.For each clock on the trail, identify the hour hand position first.
  3. 3.Determine if the minute hand points to 12 (on the hour) or 6 (half past).
  4. 4.Write the digital time that matches each analog clock.
  5. 5.Draw hands on the blank clocks to match the given digital times.

Parent Teaching Tip

A demonstration clock with movable hands is the single most effective tool for teaching time. Move the hands to show real times from your child's day β€” "This is when we eat lunch. This is when we go to bed." β€” to make the skill immediately meaningful.
